The Family program is for parent(s) of teens and young adults with mental health challenges. Parenting can be a difficult adventure, made more so when our kids struggle. When this happens, we can feel judged, alone, and lost. Because Allison has two teens who struggle with their mental health, she understands how to create a judgment-free zone where you can share what's happening in your family without guilt, embarrassment, or shame. This 6-week program is for parents who want to learn how to connect more effectively with their kids, who desire a closer relationship with them, are looking for better ways to parent during a crisis, and are keen to find a sustainable approach to coping with tough kids. You and Allison will meet virtually or in-person for about one hour each week. Allison's own journey with her children has opened her offerings to families (specifically parents of teens) who would like to become better connected with their children. Together you will follow the journey map that is parenting, during crisis, and potentially build new ways of showing up with your child. Because Allison knows, first hand, that this journey can take wild turns she is mindful to the fact that you may need to run this program over and over again each time focusing on something different from the last. Life is messy and that is okay. Allison provides the safe container to discover what could be.
